What an amazing image you have with this post.
It poses so many reflective questions.
Can one find tranquility while 'existing' amongst the perils of this world? Can we distance ourselves from it?
What can one individual do?

No, you're definitely not deleted. I've already done the deleting and it was just a few people. I don't have many on my friends list anyway but all of them now are people that I actually talk to, comment on, and am interested in keeping up on what is going on in their lives.

Ummmm....speaking of....what's up with the move thing? You must love the hot places. I'm a seasonal gal myself. Fall being my favorite and winter next. I like summer but 3 months is enough of it for me. *Plus wardrobes are just so much more fabulous in the winter. Don't ya think?*

Having lived in NY where many times we'd get 36 inches of snow in one week and then living in NV where it was 120 degrees for two weeks last month, I've learned to put up with any kind of weather. But I do prefer the warm climate. The move to Florida is just a "maybe" thing right now. Life has been so trying and depressing the last half yr or so here in Vegas that I would love to re-locate. Will let you know if it materializes.

Winter wardrobes...I think of boots, heavy socks, heavy coats, hoods, hats, scarves, mittens. The foyer of my house in NY looked like a clothing boutique for most of the winter!

Insightful, indeed. It amazes me that a person of that age can express themselves so strongly. My son is that way. When I once asked him how he drew such lifelike pictures when he was about 7 he looked puzzled and shrugged and said, "You picture it in your head and then you put it on paper." So simple to those with the gift.

My wife has 2 children. One is turning 18 in November and the other is 8. So this is my first experience with children and it IS an experience so I kinda feel ya on the mom thing.

Congrats on the smoking thing. I've tried and tried to quit....I don't think it will ever happen for me. We are definitely a dying breed.

Today is a BAD day for me!!!! I want a cig soooooooooooooooooooooooo bad I can strangle someone for it.. lol.. ya know the first week was easy, the second week was ok but this week is torture!!!!!! and not the good kind.. lol..

good luck with the kids.. teens can be hell! my youngest is 16. She lives with her dad and I get her everyother wekkend.

I am coming to Dublin this weekend I think. I am taking my daughter to BD mongolian grill.. I love thatplace!!! Do you guys ever eat there?

I only quit cuz I couldnt afford it anymore.. I am thinking about re-thinking my finances to fit it back in lol

I work in Dublin and OOOOOO yes, we love BD's. YUMMY. It's Tammy's favorite. Have you ever been to the one in the arena district? It's fun cause it's right downtown and we LOVE downtown, we go as much as we can. We usually end up at the one at easton though cause we live in westerville and it's so close.

I can't really afford to smoke either but i do it anyway. When the prices went up I went up to Marlboro lights instead of ultra lights so I smoke less now.

I have never been to the arena one. just the dublin one. THat is like one of my most fav places! but, after paying bills this week i dont think i am gonna make it there. I will know tomorrow.. well have a great day!

Well next time you are in town we should meet up and go to dinner together. You and Tammy seem to have a lot in common and would probably get along really well. Not that I wouldn't get along with you(I mean after all I like Tammy a heckofalot LOL) but it seems you too have plenty in common. We both like to meet new people so the offer is there if you wish.

My apologies if I came on too strong in my initial comment. I've tried to check out your journal (after you added me) and I haven't been able to.

If you all like the Downtown area and you like ice cream, you should come to Cold Stone Creamery Short North (over I-670, north of the Convention Center). I work there. The atmosphere is good, as is the service. Maybe you've already been (to a Cold Stone/to our Cold Stone)? This month's featured flavors are Carrot Cake Batter and Pumpkin, if you're interested (tryin' to drum up some business, lol). The featured Originals for those are 24 Karat Cake (walnuts, graham cracker pie crust and caramel) and Pumpkin Pie In The Sky (whipped topping, graham cracker pie crust and caramel).
